Meet Laurie

I am forever in awe of the human spirit. It is what drew me to this work and will no doubt, be what keeps me connected to it. Having worked in both community and private practice, I’ve learned this work not just through school and training, but by the invitation into people’s lives. What an honor it is to sit with such personal experiences and witness people open themselves to new ways of being.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a Registered Social Worker committed to a therapeutic experience that is warm, relatable, and forward-moving. Holding onto the words from a mentor, "you can only take someone as far as you've gone yourself," I am deeply committed to my own internal work and am inspired by the many practices that facilitate this. I continue to seek and understand my voice, my body, my younger self, my spirit, my mind, my relationships and sense of spirituality, but I have come to embrace this unwavering truth along the way: I am whole, as I am. While our stories may be different, I trust the same to be true for you.

Outside of the therapeutic space, I am a mom who loves deeply, a want-to-be-creative, and a lover of nature. Others know me to live with heart, intention, and necessary laughter.

Cheers, to the messy, the beauty, and all of who we are.

Not all therapy is the same... Want to learn more about my approach?

I respectfully acknowledge that I am on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Ts’elxweyeqw and Pilalt Tribes, Tribes of the Sto:lō-Coast Salish Halq’eméylem speaking Peoples.

BIPOC and LGBTQ1S+ people are welcome and supported.

I celebrate and affirm the diverse identities and experiences of those I am privileged to hold space for. It is my intention to understand what safety means for you in therapy, cocreating an opportunity for/and with you to explore all parts of your identity and lived experience. Recognizing my own limitations, experiences and biases and the ways these can impact the therapeutic process, I am committed to ongoing learning while remaining open to feedback and accountability.
